Of course, the FEC, CORRECTLY pointed out that money donated by people to political campaigns is not the same thing as money that is donated to a political party and therefore the RNC as a political party can blow their money anyway they want to. Obama continues to bring about "change" by picking Hillary for his Secretary of State. I can't begin to tell you how stupid this is for all parties involved. Although I will point out that Hillary is suffering from more stupidity than Obama on this one. If Hillary had any illusion of becoming president, that came crashing down the second she took a job in Obama's cabinet. This choice also shows that Obama really isn't that bright when it comes to running his own ship. Hillary is going to do what she wants to do and when she wants to do it and unlike Obama, she has the experiences of her husband to guide her foreign policy. But let's be real, Obama has no foreign policy otherwise he would not have chosen Hillary. In effect, Obama just bought himself a foreign policy off the shelf, YES WE CAN! Way to go, Hillary, I thought you were brighter than to surrender your constitutional authority as a senator, but you just get dumber by the hour. People who look at their own piece of welfare be it corporate or union or government are going to see it all come crashing down. The fact of the matter is that it is going to be so bad that the political right of the country is going to have a field day in 2 years and 4 years from now. Even the oh so scary Mainstream Media is not going to be able cover for it. Many, in fact too many Americans simply look at their financial position and praise or condemn whoever the president happens to be. Our atrocious educational system simply glosses over minor things like a congress or a judiciary so much so that these people have it down to a simplistic science. We didn't need McCain to stink up the campaign for the Democrats to elect what amounts to a ham sandwich, it was genetically built into the average useful idiot's mindset. There is a lot to be upset about if you are a classical liberal. However, there is also a lot to be excited about. For one thing, we don't have to worry about John McCain stabbing us in the back from the White House anymore. This election was lost the day he won the nomination and true classical liberals know it. I saw Dick Morris on Hannity and ~~Communist~~ Colmes tonight talking about how whoever is running the government is going to be taking the fall for the incoming economic strife and that might be well and good, but the fact of the matter is that I would not be happy right now if McCain had won, I would be merely relieved. But it would be an uneasy feeling because right around the corner we would have him falling all over himself to do anything Reid or Pelosi desired. And the real tragedy in that scenario is that Palin would be stuck on that sinking ship. As it stands, we can simply trust in faith that our Creator (founding father language) will preserve our rights over at least the next two years. During this time, we need to hang tough and get a battle plan.

This battle plan is going to involve getting a Real Classical Liberal such as Palin or Jindal to assume the leadership position in the party. I heard also today something about Newt possibly chairing the RNC and that is a fantastic thing if it turns out to be the case. I'm not a fan of Newt as far as being an elected official but the man is a brilliant mind and just a sick sick strategist. One thing that struck me about the pathetic McCain campaign is the total lack of a ground game. When W was running I was banging on doors and kicking the dial pad to get the vote out. I heard absolutely nothing from McCain people about it and to be perfectly honest, I would have been hard pressed to even find the stomach to campaign for him. The fact of the matter is that there is no GOTV effort by a campaign that was run like a funeral dirge save for Palin. This has got to change and it is only going to happen the next time around if we start now. In the meantime, keep your collective chins up and think about the future that we can work together to build. And if you find yourself getting depressed, just think about the Classical Liberals that had to endure Carter getting elected when the Soviet Union was itching to nuke everyone, it doesn't seem so bad now does it? Really?
